Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. Ofsted inspect’s and regulate’s services that care for children and young people, and services providing education and skills for learners of all ages. As part of the National Nursery Preparing for Ofsted course your will gain an understanding of the different types of inspection, the reasons for an inspection and what happens pre inspection.

Every week, Ofsted carries out hundreds of inspections and regulatory visits throughout England and publish the results online. Ofsted’s goal is to achieve excellence in education and skills for learners of all ages, and in the care of children and young people.

As part of the National Nursery Preparing for Ofsted course your will gain an understanding of:

  • Who are Ofsted and what are they responsible for.
  • How providers are selected for inspection.
  • Ofsted’s 4 key judgements.
  • Inspectors’ planning and preparation.

Successful candidates will be awarded the National Nursery Training  Preparing for Ofsted Course Completion Certificate.

Upon Successful completion you will receive a certificate confirming course completion.  Accreditation is provided by National Nursery Training. This can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit.  The purpose of this qualification is for the update and continued professional development (CPD)
